Our suggested fee for a standard appointment is $95.00 with a Medicare rebate of $41.40.

The fee for a longer consultation is $153.00 with a Medicare rebate of $80.10.

Children aged 6 to 15 will be charged a reduced consultation rate with Medicare rebates as above.

Each individual Doctor is responsible for their own billing, therefore billing amounts may vary slightly according to the complexity of the consultation and many other factors.

The receptionists will transmit paid patient accounts to Medicare on the day and patients usually receive their rebate into the bank account they have nominated with Medicare in around 1 – 2 business days.

Non-attendance – If you do not need an appointment you have booked, we ask that you cancel it as soon as you can by calling us on 9579 2077.  Please give 4 hours notice for a cancellation or a non-attendance fee of $60 may apply.

To avoid forgetting up-coming appointments, we encourage all patients to avail themselves of our text message reminder system by providing us with your consent, and keeping your mobile number up to date.

Transfer of file – $40 is our charge to send your file, via registered post, to another practice or healthcare provider.  On receipt of the signed request, we will send you a message asking you to settle the account so we can get your information to the new provider without delay.

GP Telehealth fees

Medicare has introduced item numbers for phone consultations in response to the Covid-19 virus pandemic.

Telephone consultations will only be bulk billed for pensioners/Healthcare card holders, for children 5 and under, and in some cases for very brief consultations.

For all other patients telephone consultations will attract a fee of $75.00 with a Medicare rebate of $41.40 for a standard consultation.

After business hours, on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, telephone consultations are $85.00 with a Medicare rebate of $41.40.

Telehealth is not available to new patients.

Video consultations are also available, a standard video conference appointment is $95.00 with a Medicare rebate of $41.40.

The fee for a longer video conference is $153.00 with a Medicare rebate of $80.10.

Bulk billing

We offer bulk billing to all children aged 5 and under, patients who present current pension or health care cards, and to veteran affairs card holders – excluding skin checks, removals and procedures which attract a fee for all patients.  However, billing is up to the individual doctor and they may decide to apply an out of pocket fee for very complex consultations.

Bulk billing is not available on weekdays after 6.00pm or on weekends or public holidays.  There is a charge for all patients during these times.

After hours appointments

Our fee for a standard appointment after 6pm weekdays, and on Saturdays is $109.00 with a Medicare rebate of $41.40.  On Sundays and public holidays it is $119.00 with a Medicare rebate of $53.90.

Procedure FEES

Please note that all procedures require an initial consultation with your doctor to discuss complexity, cost, duration and risks.

The cost of your procedure is dependent on the complexity and duration. All procedures attract a private fee regardless of your age or whether you hold a concession or pension card. The doctor will advise you prior to your procedural appointment of the fees that are applicable. For current pension or health care cards a reduced private fee will apply.  There is no charge for veteran affairs card holders.

Skin checks – for skin check only appointments there is a charge of $95.00 with a rebate from Medicare of $41.40.

Payment options

Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard.

Accounts can also be paid by direct deposit, please call 03 9579 2077 for bank account details.

We ask that payment be made on the day of your appointment, accounts paid after this may include an administration fee.

No Medicare – no problem

We welcome travelers and patients that are not covered by Medicare.
