GP Telehealth fees
Medicare has temporarily introduced item numbers for phone consultations in response to the Covid-19 virus pandemic.
Private billing for telephone consultations will resume on 01 October 2020. Telephone consultations will only be bulk billed for pensioners/Healthcare card holders, for children 15 and under, and in some cases for very brief consultations.
For all other patients telephone consultations will attract a fee of $65 with a Medicare rebate of $38.75 for a standard consultation.
Telehealth is not available to new patients.
We offer bulk billing to all children under the age of 16, patients who present current pension or health care cards and to veteran affairs card holders – excluding removals and procedures which attract a fee for all patients.
Bulk billing is available to the above patients between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday but is not available ‘after hours’ (i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays).
After hours appointments
There is no bulk billing available after 6.00pm on weekdays, weekends or public holidays. Our fee for a standard appointment after hours on Sundays and public holidays is $105.00 with a Medicare rebate of $50.55.
The cost of your procedure is dependent on the complexity and duration. All procedures attract a private fee regardless of your age or whether you hold a concession or pension card. The doctor will advise you prior to your procedural appointment of the fees that are applicable. For current pension or health care cards and to veteran affairs card holders a reduced private fee will apply.
Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard.
Accounts can also be paid by direct deposit with the EBMG bank account details placed at
the bottom of invoices.
