The doctors at East Bentleigh Medical Group are happy to provide their existing patients with telephone consultations for health concerns that do not require a face to face visit.  In order to be eligible for a Medicare rebate for a telephone consultation, patients must an established relationship with the practice – that is, have been seen by any doctor in the practice before, and must have had a face to face visit within the last 12 months.

Telephone consultations will only be bulk billed, Mondays to Fridays, between 9am and 6pm for pensioners/Healthcare card holders, for children 5 and under, and in some cases for very brief consultations.

For all other patients telephone consultations during business hours will attract a fee of $84.00 with a Medicare rebate of $45.05 for a standard consultation, and on Saturdays, $90 with a rebate of $45.05.  Before 9am, after 6pm, weekends and public holidays a standard telephone consultation is $95.00 with a Medicare rebate of $45.05.

Telehealth is not available to new patients.
